Licensed & regulated

Licensed, capped, and clear about what we are.

GAVO is a moneylender, not a bank — and we never blur the line. Here is how we are licensed, how our pricing is limited by law, and how we are preparing for the Consumer Credit Act 2025.

Licensing

A licensed moneylender under the Moneylenders Act 1951.

GAVO Sdn Bhd is licensed and regulated as a moneylender by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT). You can verify our licence status directly with the regulator.

What we are not
Not a bank

No deposit protection

We do not take deposits. Money placed with or borrowed from GAVO is not protected by Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia (PIDM).

Not a payday lender

Responsible by design

No instant, no-questions credit and no rolling debt. We extend credit only where repayment is realistic and proven.

Not an adviser

Lending only

GAVO is an independent licensed lender. We do not provide legal, tax or financial advice — only capital, assessed honestly.

Pricing within the law
Consumer Credit Act 2025

We are getting ready for the Consumer Credit Commission before we have to be.

Malaysia's credit framework is moving to the Consumer Credit Act 2025 and a new Consumer Credit Commission. GAVO is aligning its operating systems, pricing and disclosures to that standard ahead of the transition, so the move is a formality rather than a scramble.

Borrow responsibly

Borrowing money costs money. Only borrow what you can repay. GAVO lends solely on an assessment of your ability to repay and will decline where borrowing would be unwise. If you are in financial difficulty, GAVO is not the right option — please seek support from AKPK, Malaysia's credit counselling and debt management agency.
